the Connexion 2-Way In-Flight Broadband Satellite System which utilizes
Boeing's proven phased array broadband satellite antenna technology. Aircraft
equipped the system are able to offer in-flight real-time broadband connectivity
to the world wide web via an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) connection
or a wireless 802.11b network connection, or both. Network speeds on board
the aircraft are comparable to land-based broadband networks such as cable
or DSL. Aircrew members can connect to the service simply and intuitively,
without assistance.
Using COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf)
technology, the Connexion 2-Way In-Flight Broadband Satellite System offers
commercial standards, protocols and a flexible, scalable, open communications
architecture that allows for rapid adaptation to various applications and
LAN infrastructure.

System Installation
The Connexion 2-Way In-Flight
Broadband Satellite System can be installed on any aircraft with a seating
capacity of 100 or more during a scheduled maintenance interval. Installations
are performed by FAA licensed and certified technicians at an FAA-approved
FBO facility.
