Available on NetStar Technologies' 28' HSA Patrol Boat and 36' HSI Gun Boat, the POP is a seated rotating gun mount pedestal designed to accept the M2HB 12.7 mm, MK19 40 mm, M134D and M240 7.62 mm machine guns. By having an offset pintle socket the rear working circle radius is only 25 inches allowing the POP to function in a narrow vehicle or boat. The seat is quickly removable so that the system can be used with a standing gunner. A mechanical brake is employed to lock the POP in train. The seat is adjustable in height. The POP is available made from noncorrosive materials for marine applications and is currently in service with the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.
