NetStar Technologies can supply your requirements for bullet resistant glass products for all types of vehicles and trailers, including flat glass products. Special window glazing process reproduces the original shape, dimension, appearance, safety, and comfort. Tight bending tolerances are maintained to ensure an easy fit of the glass to the vehicle. For esthetical reasons, the edges of all glasses can be polished on the operable vehicle doors. NetStar’s bullet resistant glass products are certified to UL, NIJ and other standards and meet most levels of protection.

Armored Vehicle Package

In response to the perceived threats from various criminal or political origins, the need for armor in vehicles has been steadily on the rise and the way upfitters have responded to these requirements has become a much more sophisticated process. NetStar Technologies
provide armoring services for a number of different applications including:

• Personal armored vehicles for use by heads of state, government agencies, business executives and personal security.
• Commercial vehicles such as armored money transports, cash in transit vehicles, SWAT and special service units.

Armored vehicles are utilized by heads of state, government officials, private and corporate individuals, and their selection is usually confined to armored passenger sedans, sport utilities, limousines or other models of their choice. Specialty and commercial vehicle applications will include armored money transports, cash in transit, valuables transport or other similar uses, usually installed on van or truck type chassis.

Standards for Armor Materials
 
Different levels of armor are required to meet the various threats and can also vary with the region in which the armor is used. Responsible upfitters will provide materials that have been properly certified by such recognized agencies as Underwriter’s Laboratories, National Institute of Justice, SECOFI (Mexico), or other international standards testing agencies. Each of these agencies usually will be recognized and their standards adhered to. Most reputable armoring services providers will also have general liability insurance which provides products hazard insurance in the event of failure of the armor systems. It must be pointed out that to meet the underwriting requirements of most insurance companies these materials must be certified and installed under very strict quality assurance guidelines.

Confidentiality 

Client discretion is maintained at all times, which is necessary for the client's protection and security. This discretion is also carried forward to the finished product - the appearance of the completed vehicle will not stand out or be physically apparent that it has the capabilities to withstand an attack.

Vehicles Suitable for Armoring 

A wide variety of vehicles can be suitably upfitted at a cost competitive rates to meet diverse applications which may be required. Such things as the suitability of the vehicle's powertrain must be taken into consideration when selecting the type and model of vehicle for use as an armored vehicle. Certain vehicles may be underpowered when armored with the upper levels of protection such as for high-powered rifles. Similarly, the frame and suspension components may not be adequate for carrying the weight of the added armor.
